July: Zero to a hundred and zen again
July is a bridge between the zen replenishment of June to 365 party girl (if you want it to be). Do with that information as you wish.
We start deep in Cancer season, and home is the theme here, but not just where you sleep. Spend time with the people who don’t drain you. Be a bit selfish. Put yourself first. Write a list of shit you need to let go of then burn it one night when you’re home alone. Wake up and listen to Sade.
By July 22, Leo season kicks in, and the energy shifts. It’s not immediate and for everyone; some of you will still be craving sleep and seclusion, while others are like, get me out, where are we going tonight. Say no when it’s too much, but don’t postpone joy.
Key Dates:
July 2 – Neptune retrograde begins (in Pisces)
This retrograde clears illusion. Where have you been romanticising chaos? Where do you need better boundaries? If you’re honest with yourself, you always know the true answer without having to look very hard.
July 5 – New Moon in Cancer
What are you doing to make yourself feel grounded and stable? Journal. Shower cry. Tend to your inner world before reaching for external validation.
July 11 – Venus enters Leo
Go OUT. Be a bit reckless. Overdress. Send a forward text. Experiment with wild abandon.
July 20 – Mars enters Gemini
Still a really social energy — just don’t burn yourself out by saying yes to everything. This is a good time to chase ideas, experiment with momentum, and get moving. That thing you’ve been quietly dreaming of is possible if you start somewhere.
July 22 – Leo season begins
Career opportunities may arise. So will challenges around discipline possibly related to emotions and finances. Make a spreadsheet and make a plan — there’s always a way forward, even if it isn’t totally clear yet.
Themes of the Month:
– Emotional bravery over emotional perfection
– Leaving the party while it’s good
– Throwing some lines out into the romantic, creative or career waters
– Being fun and cool, then retreating to replenish.
Rest like it’s productive. Go to bed at 7.30, watch Normal People and cry if you need to. Then resurrect. Put on something that makes you feel hot and relevant. Eat the peach. Send the text. Be aware of chaos.
If it’s summer for you, relinquish the idea that this has to be the best season of your life. If it’s winter where you are, plot your revenge and make plans for something to look forward to.
Wishes,
Bel
